PRESS RELEASE!!! GAE2024 Now on Apple Appstore and Google Play


 
We are pleased to announce that our Great American Eclipse 2024 App (GAE2024) is now available in Apple App Store and Google Play Store!  under the GAE2024 icon.

 ·         GAE2024 represents the 1st in an exciting series of mobile learning apps under the brand names TPEP™ and “40 Words for Bright Futures”™ , developed by Perennial Preparedness of North Carolina , in collaboration with Youth Exploration Services. The app contains 40 words relating to eclipses and other astronomical objects, pronounced in English and Spanish, along with information on history makers in space sciences and exploration. The next Great American Eclipse takes place on April 8, 2024. 

 ·         TPEP™ apps are unique in that the primary app features are fully functional, without the need for internet, after initial download. This is done in consideration of youth, in many households, who don’t often have regular access to Internet.

 ·         TPEP™ brand apps will contain audio pronunciations of 40 words in English, Spanish and other language pairings, to encourage A+ English Competency and Bilingual Proficiency, with emphasis on elementary vocabularies for various occupations in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)  

 ·         The possibilities for using the TPEP™ app template for introduction of our young people to the language and opportunities of many STEM careers are endless.

 ·         We will also be using modules based upon our  TPEP™  apps, in both on-site and virtual settings, to mentor youth on how to create their own Android and IOS mobile app ideas.

Our journey from concept, to code, to beta test, to full approval and deployment on AppStore has been a 2+ years journey, which included years with seeking approval for the GPS/SMS featured Beaconeer™ (which remains in beta-test stage due to iPhone 8 issue)  to the mere 6-month development of GAE2024 which received approval in just 1 week after submission to both AppStore and Google Play.

  • Youth Exploration Services will resume mobile app learning programs for youth 10-17 very soon.
  • Perennial Preparedness of North Carolina will announce mobile app learning opportunities for 18 years + in 2022.

Known Issue and Fix with Beaconeer Notepad

Hello Everyone, thanks for feedback. Here' the explanation for a known issue and the "fix".  When entering new text in the Beaconeer™ Notepad, the text autosaves as long you hit any of the app menu buttons , including the app's "X" button.  However, if you happen to click on any Android phone's "back button" which operates outside of the app , it automatically closes the Beaconeer™, without saving your new text!  The Beaconeer™ is unable to extend execution of the "save" command to behaviors that occur outside of the app .
